The Naked Range sits about 200m higher than the Yarra Valley
floor. This combined with our steep, north facing, slopes has quite
a profound effect on the vineyard climate. The sun hits the
vineyard early in the morning and the vines quickly warm up, which
is ideal for the production of intense and ripe fruit characters.
Due to the altitude night time temperatures drop very quickly which
gives the vines a rest and helps the grapes to retain valuable
natural acids. This enables us to produce white wines with ripe,
cool climate fruit characteristics, with fine structure and
balanced acidity. Enjoy these wines all year round and in copious
amounts during the warmer months.

The area produces tightly structured wines that often have the
ability age well. The 2001 Chardonnay is the result of a warmer
than average year, producing a wine that has plenty of fruit
richness and ripe characters.
Deep straw in colour with vibrant green tinges.
Oak plays a minor part in this wine. This is a fruit driven
chardonnay. The nose displays an abundance of stone fruit and juicy
pineapple characteristics. The palate reveals some interesting
