Jansz Estate is a family-owned vineyard and winery,
established in 1995 by the Jansz Family.
The Estate is nestled in the foothills of the Kinglake Range,
located 40 km north east of Melbourne and on the western fringe of
the Yarra Valley Wine Region, Victoria, Australia.
The Yarra Valley Wine Region is very unique, the wide range of
Topography found within its boarders, its varying microclimates and
most of all its soil types, produce wines which are as unique as
the Region itself.
The attraction of this area to winemakers comes from the natural
combination of a cool yearly climate and the poor gravelly clay
soils that cover this sub-region which is also known as the Diamond
Valley.
Jansz Estate has utilised the opportunities provided by this
unique environment, and its 17 acre plantings include
- Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo
- Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
Organic & Biodynamics
Best environmental practices have always been implemented in the
viticultural activities since establishment in 1995. We recognise
the benefits of Organic and Biodynamic principles and actively
practice, support and encourage others to work in harmony with the
environment.
It was only in recent years that official Organic status was
sort and all 2009 vintages carry Organic Logo.
